Message from Chris Hoy - Triple Gold Medallist.
September 15, 2008
I have had some contact with Chris Hoy’s PR team this week. I was hoping that Chris would be available to join us at this year’s event but unfortunately, due to his fantastic success at the Beijing Olympics, he has a lot of prior commitments. However, he did send this message:
“I’d love to be able to be with you at Race For My Wife but unfortunately I can’t make it this year. Best wishes to all those taking part.”
Chris Hoy - Triple Gold Medallist
My thanks to Chris for his support and I wish him continued success in his career. I’m looking forward to seeing him with a golden glow in 2012.

Lance Armstrong back in the competitive saddle
September 10, 2008
Great to see that Lance has decided to go for his 8th Tour de France title. What a great advert he is to show us all what we’re raising the money for.
Good luck to Lance and I hope he might consider our event for a little warm up!!!
Race For Life
September 10, 2008
So, the Race For Life season is over and again it has been a fantastic summer of fund raising for Cancer Research UK.
I dream of seeing Race For My Wife grow to the extent of Race For Life - this year over 600,000 women took part.
Now it’s our turn and this years event is shaping up quite nicely but as always we just need more of you to get yourselves signed up and taking part. So, I’ll stop writing so you can stop reading then click on the Registration link and come and see us on the 5th.
Best Wishes
Rob
Hot & Cold Drinks And Snacks
September 9, 2008
Jacqui has kindly agreed to open the on site cafe at Castle Combe once again and will be serving tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sandwiches and her famous “Chilli Special”. So bring along your supporters and maybe come along early for your breakfast. Then when you’ve finished the race come back in for a nice hot bowl of chilli.
Let us know when you register if you’d like to pre-order a nice sandwich or a hot meal.
So, get registered, join the only “Race For Life-FOR MEN” in the south, eat very well and raise money for Cancer Research UK.
